HAWAIIAN HOLIDAY
HAWAII 2011
Back by Popular Demand!
March 10-20, 2011

Perhaps no other vacation destination is on so many “someday” lists as Hawaii. You can check it off your list in March, 2011 when you join your friends and family on a Norwegian Cruise Line Pride of America cruise March 12-19. There’s really no better way to see Hawaii than on an NCL cruise—you’ll visit 4 of the Hawaiian Islands without having the hassle of packing and unpacking.
Our journey begins on March 10, with a flight to Honolulu, where we’ll check into either the Marriott Waikiki Beach or the Aqua Waikiki Hotel to enjoy 2 days exploring Honolulu. You’ll have time to visit Pearl Harbor and the Arizona Memorial, or take a leisurely drive to the North Shore where you can sample an “original” Matsumoto shave ice, watch surfers “Hang Ten” or visit the Polynesian Cultural Center. If you need some R & R, soak up the rays on Waikiki Beach or climb to the top of Diamond Head and enjoy the incredible view!
March 12, we’ll board the beautiful Pride of America for our 7 night cruise. You’ll be able to choose a cabin to fit your needs: Inside, Oceanview, Balcony, Mini-suite or Suite. Your floating resort sails overnight and you’ll wake up in gorgeous Maui for a 2 day visit. Visit the quaint village of Lahaina where you can watch whales breaching from the shore or take a whale watching tour, (over 2000 whales winter in these waters). If you like thrills, drive the road to Hana with it’s 620 curves and incredible vistas or experience the sunrise over Haleakala Crater (and if you’re brave enough, ride a bike down the 27 mile road).
Next we’ll spend 2 days on the Big Island, one day in each Hilo (home of Volcanoes National Park, Rainbow Falls and several macadamia nut and orchid plantations) and the other day in Kona, the resort side of the Big Island. Kona is a great area for shopping, snorkeling and is the host of the Ironman World Championship. At night we’ll sail past the red rivers of lava flowing into the ocean from Kilauea, one of the few places on earth to experience it!
Our last port of call is the Garden Isle of Kauai, where you’ll marvel at the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific” Waimea Canyon. Vibrant reds, oranges and rust colors stripe the walls of the 3000’ deep canyon. Later in the day take the drive to the Napali Coast, site of many movie and TV productions, including South Pacific, Jurassic Park and the TV series “Lost”. Viewing the Hanalei River, you’ll think you’re in Southeast Asia, complete with rice paddies! As we leave Kauai for our cruise back to Honolulu, we sail past the magnificent Napali Coast, even more beautiful from the sea.
Upon arrival in Honolulu, we’ll have the better part of the day to linger on Waikiki or visit Pearl Harbor before we board our overnight flight home.
The only way to “see it all” in a week in Hawaii is on a cruise. You’d spend several ½ days getting from one island to another and checking into your new hotel. Cruising Hawaii, your luxury “hotel” moves with you! Your meals and entertainment are included and while in port you can come and go 24/7.
Whether you’re in Florida, Arizona, Michigan or points beyond in March, you can join us on our Hawaiian Explorer vacation. It’s a great time for a family or friends reunion. You do the inviting, we do the details! We hope you’ll join us for this incredible journey!
